I cut my teeth on a CB400, ended up putting 20,000km's on it

    Eh.

Reliable and all that, but I dunno. Character lacking?

Where did you end up buying all of your service parts from? Plugs, filters, etc.

Big mixture of sites. I have a few sites I check availability and pricing.

    Ebay a fair bit.
Plugs I actually got instore at MCA and they were cheaper than ebay.

Usually I check part detail/number here:
    https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cbr250rr_model14664/

    and have got stuff from
    http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detai...8-ML7-922.html
which is epic cheap for oem, but slow delivery from the US

and have also got a few bits and pieces from:
    http://www.madhornets.com/search.php...y=mc22&x=0&y=0

but the best (if they have it in stock) is:

    http://www.xcitebikes.com.au/cbr250rr/

amazing service, I've never waited more than a day for anything here.

There's also https://japan.webike.net for JDM stuff - if you dig up the part numbers, they'll quote on OEM parts for you as well as all the aftermarket shit in the store.
I've used them for a few things.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

Did some temp testing today, and it seems to be ok.

This is about as hot as it got today, the other day was a touch closer to red.

    Measure.

Ambient ground was 11 degrees C.

I did a 60min drive through Sydney traffic, stopped and measured at idle.

    112 degrees C.

    and the cold side:

rad seems to be working ok.
I reckon it's ok, just will monitor it.

Forgot to subscribe and missed replies - thanks guys. Yeah, lower back is borked - L4 and L5. Maybe best to look at a road and trail or cruiser style bike ?

Reason for sale is to get a bigger bike

But yeah this thing is mega fun. It's like a small engine with a big turbo when it hits 10,000rpm

Also go to bikebiz and sit on a few bikes. MT/ Z300 is like a lounge chair. And unless you are planning 2hr+ rides you'll be more than fine.

Also sweet ride man. I've had two of these over the years. Sitting for ages didn't seem to be a major problem and they sing when you rev em. Cheap and available parts, what more do you need for a free bike. Enjoy!

That's Pyramid Plastics - different company.

Just returned from my longest ride on this thing.
Went down to Cronulla, then through the Royal Nasho to Bald Hill.
It was cold, but fun. About 170kms, with only one toilet stop at Stanwell. Traps are sore otherwise feel fine.

Through the Nasho every single bike passed me. I was doing the speed limit or a little more, maybe down to 30kph on the 15-25k corners, and maybe 10-20kps over the limit on the straights, but still, every single bike passed me. Guy's go pretty hard through there.. on a Sunday morning.

Then I stopped at bald hill, so many exotic machines,

    BMW HP4,
    Big Ducs,
R1s barely stood out in this class.
There was a 1098 with what was the loudest idle I've heard on a bike, it sounded like a Machine gun firing.
    Really nice guy too.

The matt white on the new Dukes (899,959 and SS) look sick with the red wheels.

I found where the livery came from.
Well, not this kit, but the original inspiration.

    Colin Edwards, RC51 Superbike.
