Yep should be something out of the ordinary. A race Harley of sorts.
Fark, would be a pretty pricey little upgrade! Guessing more than the air ride on the last one?
They work pretty well.
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."
Yeah like triple the price lol.
At least for a sportsbike you only need to buy one shock.

I got emailed today if I wanted to get the shafts done in carbon nitride. For a paltry $500usd a shock lol.
I said no funnily enough.
I think the end result will be worth it. Problem is it will amplify how shit the forks will be once the rear is sorted. Because they are cartridge style can't just jam preload adjusters in these. But they are too soft under brakes. Upsets the geometry.

I spoke to terry hay about what I can do with the front and he said best bet is bite the bullet and do the ohlins cartridge and do it right first time sort of thing. I hate it when people make sense and it's not what I want to hear lol.
could try the old heavier oil trick first and see how that goes but that's a bandaid solution in itself.
Springs and a revalve will set you back ~ 1/3rd to 1/4 of what the Cart kit will cost. Give Laurie (Suspensionsmith) a call - he has a different attitude to the suspension guys I've encountered in the past...

it already has a cartridge in it, Harley to their credit thought they were doing well with this fork, and it is pretty good until you weigh more than 90kg or ride it hard.
I'll give him a yell and see what he thinks I can do. I am actually going to Goulburn on Sat morning so that might work out well.
Santa came early. These are trick. Haven't had a chance to test them yet.

First ride done just to check alignment and nothing falls off. Was unbelievably good. Set the sag as reccomended and took off. Couldn't even feel the dish driveway when leaving it was so plush.
Felt immediately higher and tip in was so much quicker, it held its line perfect and any road imperfections didn't bother it at all.
I sped up the rebound and put 2 clicks of compression after stopping to check the bolts and belt tension and was met with a lot livelier bike but not something you could ride on a daily basis. Will be a good initial setting for some natio runs but waiting for double demerits to piss off before giving it the ultimate test.
Extremely impressed but you should be for the price.

Did the drags tonight. Was a lot of fun and bike went well. Couldn’t crack an 11 but went 12.0 at 106mph with a 1.7 60ft. Needs more snot it seems.
First time I’ve done it on a bike and was happy with the consistency. First run was a 12.4 and got progressively faster over the night dropping a tenth each time with the same mph.
Can’t believe how hard you can launch on a prepped track. 5.5k rpm was no problem. Would carry first gear couple of inches of the ground.
I’ll put a vid up tomorrow.
Nice work!
1jz Rolla Van ....... 10.5 at 134mph
"Reacher figured if he could put that drivetrain in some battered old sedan body, then that would be his kind of car"
.
here is a better video showing all the runs of the night.
Bit embarrassing having old mate do up my jacket lol
