    Tight-arse turbo 5 litre? G6E intercooler?

Wondering if G6E intercooler for sale will work on stock efi 304 with maybe gt35 or simlar turbo

    Basically...

    efi 5l/th700

    G6E intercooler

    xr6t gt35 turbo or similar

memcal tune to suit whatever injectors & f/pump needed.

Probably go into a vk or maybe lc gtr.

    Any thoughts?
an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

Yeah that should still make enough to blow up the 700

Why use a G6E intercooler? Wouldn't it be better to get a China $150 one off eBay? I would have thought GT35 would be too small. Apart from that please continue so I can do same.

One on here for sale & because tight-arse themed project...

Apparently they're ok for heat soaking 300rwkw on the ford 6cyl....I'd be happy for 5.0 ltr to make 200-230rwkw,might need baby cam but will need springs anyway.

Ebay turbo ranging from $250-$500 no idea on brands tbh.

5500 rpm limit, tall gears & gt35 size turbo just might be silly enough to work...any bigger start to cost $$$$

Would like to hide it under guard smaller size & internal wastegate should make stealth setup work.

    * pure speculation

You'll get a second hand china cooler cheaper than a G6et one

Biggest hurdle is that the Turbo 700 will sh!t the bed pretty quickly.
Delcohacking conversion for $250 gives you a good tuneable solution.
You'll need a decent fuel pump, bigger injectors and (likely) a fuel reg with 1:1 rising rate.
Chev LT1 valve springs fit with standard retainers, about $60 a set.
China bay cooler, mild steel piping if you wanted to be ultra tight (enamel paint inside to stop rust? )
Reverse the factory cast headers and run a Y-pipe, 3" dump on the passenger side for easy clearance.
Might need to relocate the alternator for heat related reasons.

They only make 150-160rwkw with bolt-ons/memcal n/a they just sound quicker & good for skids...

    $100
    G6 intercooler,injectors,plastic piping + airbox crap/bracket
Also threw in ling long aftermarket intercooler

Had quick look on ebay gt35 anywhere from $250-$500 no-name brands

If G6E things can do 230rwkw maybe dinosaur 5.0 can too.

Under guard like this would be cool...always wanted to copy it.

Whatever parts pop up cheap or junk left in shed will be used.

Big holset would smash th700..need powerglide/th400 for anything decent lol

I guess it depends on health of the box, trans fluid temp, gearing and traction. Keep the gearing low, not too sticky rubber and big trans cooler and should be ok.

Well basically sounds a lot like my current sized turbo on my vp 5litre bottom end mine is on hq heads with blow through carb etc pushing 11psi into the bag a bolts with a pro boost T04/3582 without intercooler and doesn't like any more then about 18 degrees timing.

Find thet04z/ 3582 with the 66mm compressor wheel go around the 1.0 - 1.1 housing

230kw meh i think it will do a bit better then that cbf with dyno it would only be for giggles more then anything.
Our old foz was around 200kw atw my Ute would kill it once it gets any traction.

Say your prayers for the t700 now as it be not long for this world once boosted.

Think this tad too big under guard...like the price though.

Expecting something to braek as most parts is leftover stuff that didn't sell I've had for years.

Do have 308 red bottom end & almost complete vn efi top end for dodgy low comp but yeah nor fazed what it makes as long as looks stealthy like car above.

Az's turbo on that car was a fairly decent sized bog warmer to feed a 355 from memory.

That turbo will be ok a little on the larger side and will take a few more rpm to boogie but with a well matched convertor it should be ok.

    Dodgy low comp is perfect.
My vp bottom end is stock other then mainstuds from my old red motor. Did poorman headstuds (unbrako socket head bolts and hi tensile washers)
It is completely clagged has done around 290 k on original pistons rings etc.
Have only put big end and main bearings in. Desperatly needs cam bearings...
Along with hq supporting stuff ie cam heads manifold etc.
Even have reused headgaskets I think now 4-5 times.

It was supposed to be a bit of a short term thing to be in there whilst I got my act together building the 355 that was about 3years ago...

Theme of it will be like that vl just cheaper/shitter & junk parts.Always wanted something similar.

Nearly bought Az's car when it was for sale...big regret as it sat there for months no buyers, couldn't get time off work.

Along the lines of this one even has turbine v band flange included.
I have a 62mm comp wheel version of the above used it for a while then went back to the proboost 66mm one.
Seemed OK just was lacking in the top end comparable to the 66mm.

Was chasing oil in the charge pipes ended up making a tank for the oil to settle the oil a little after turbo and before scavenge pump.

Bought a moo mang t5 vp ute for house reno/daily duties.

Once it's all roadworthy & less derro looking should be easier to do rear mount...toss spare in tray & mount turbo off the towbar brackets under the tray.

It's a rough looking thing will need a few(many) things fixed that are common with these shitboxen.
