    HD Sportster bobber

Wanted something to do some touring in Japan next year and also a bit cheaper to rego than the Victory. Was looking at building one up from a stocker but this came up

First thing I need to do is put some sort of baffles in it. Second thing I need to do is sell the Victory....and probably the SR400 thingy

How much - shouldn't be asking, nopics says I can't be trusted on a bike, but I got this hankering to build a rigid/bobber sportster on the cheap to ride to work on nice days & for stress relief.

no frame or engine TK but aftermarket and stock parts coming out of my ears, I had a guy come over about an hour ago and took a whole bunch of things for some beer money/new parts $$$.

Stock pipes pulling a premium in Sydney at the moment haha, EPA must be reaming blokes.

I'd like to eventually run a springer front end (post victory sale) but am looking at a jail bar headlight and some smaller indicators. It's got about three weeks rego and no one is going to pass it with no baffles so need to sort that, like, nowish

Brasher, can I just cut those butt ugly front shock covers off?

they dont start the bike for rego, if they do tell them it's not a requirement for a pink slip and jog on cunt.

Springers you get what you pay for, don't get that chinese DNA shit. This part is the only thing keeping you from headbutting the road at 100kph so you want it to be sturdy. The Led Sled wide kit is perfect for your build.

Spring seat and rear shocks = gheeeeey, sorry man but that shit just aint on. If you go for the WLA look then strut the rear and run a springer seat.

You can cut the fork covers off if you want, be sure the dust seal is on the fork though. I am not sure on the 883 but the booty may make the seal cap redundant so check that is there or it will be butt ugly.

Definatly going with a led sled front. Yeah, not setting rid of the suspension. Happy to be gay rather than riding a hard tail on the roads around here. It's got the look I want at the moment.

What's the best way of getting a complete front end shipped from the US?

I dunno but it won't be cheap. Maybe someone who is bringing a container back could chuck it in there.

This x10, Uber gaids. Go back to a conventional seat if you want a spring rear.

Picked it up yesterday, which was fun since westpac couldn't give out cash cause their computers were down

Took it for a little ride and it rides really nice. I never noticed it doesn't have a brake/park light...

Had a bit of a win today. Found a new trickle charger whilst cleaning out the shed and thought I may as well fit it up. Went to pull the battery cover off and there sticking out the side is the exact same connector to the one I found. Thank you one of the previous owners

Looking at fitting one of these kits

Absolutely rediculous where they fitted the factory ignition switch. Brasher, where you at???

Rode it a bit today, the open exhausts is getting quieter lol

    Also bought one of these

    Quieter or you're getting deafer?
I have to agree the spring seat looks really wrong, and I love the look of them on Softails. Depending on how hard H-D reams you, they do solo hammock seats which might suit you better. That said, if your body prefers it then who gives a toss what any of us think?
Oh and interested in springer front ends, I love those things.

I'm thinking I might buy a couple of different seats and see what I like. I think the spring seat might look better if it was a little less up in the air.

I'm thinking I'll try this one next

Rode it for 90 minutes the other day and besides being deaf for the rest of the day, my body pulled up alright. Ordered some Vance and Hines short shots which will hopefully make it quiet enough to enjoy. Few little trim bits coming from china for it too

    These are the short shots
