Relocated the speedo, coil, ignition switch and did a wire tuck today. Also fitted some black axle caps to the front

    I'm loving it

I feel like I need to get a Harley. Am I in for a world of pain if I buy a cheap 883 sportster?

You're in for a world of boredom. And being overtaken by pensioners on mobility scooters.

I thought all Harley's were like that? I like the idea of a something slow to cruise around on.

Go ride one and see for yourself. Just don't be in a hurry to get anywhere at any time for any reason.

Really only any good if you like the rest of the package and the looks of it. But you'd want to put a 1200 kit through it.

Really? Sure, it's not going to power wheelie in second but there is more to the riding experience than acceleration. I've been through the sports bike phase (I had a gsx1100m on my p's, Vmax, tigerblade) and am more than happy with it's modest performance.

Well I rode a stock one and even though I didn't expect it to be a rocket, it was very disappointing. I preferred the bigger bikes, which are also not rockets, but the torque does make them feel more fun.

I'm close to that point of just wanting something comfy to cruise around on so may be looking more closely at the range again in the next 12 months or so. Along with Triumphs.

Fun fact: apparently a 883 is as quick through the 1/4 as a GTHO falcon

This is the most fun bike I've ever owned/ridden. Huge smile every time I ride it. I even got caught in a down pour riding in a T shirt and was pissing myself laughing

Each and every day you somehow surpass your level or brokeness, but you're still 'our' Chuck.

I thought it was finished but within hours I saw this

    Also ordered one of these

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/112114128...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

So now I'm waiting on billet rocker covers to arrive. Also forgot to fit the chin spoiler so got some yellow tape today to see how it'll look and to see if I'll go ahead with fitting it. Also priced some Performance Machine levers and controls but $2k fitted is out of he question....today at least :/

Be careful with those Chinese intakes the screws go to shit and end up taking the top end with it.

With or without chin spoiler? It's only wrapped in yellow tape at the moment, will obviously get it painted
