    Gt40

Well, I've been thinking about being more realistic about my habits versus my income lately. So, the GT40 is for sale.

$110000. What a bargain! Well, it's all relative isn't it?

It's low, fast, loud and hot. So, pretty much what you'd expect from a replica of a 1960's race car.

Because I'm technologically impaired, photos and more info are on the below linked carsales advert.

Definitely Uncle. This car needs to be used. Not be subjected to a super mega awesome engine conversion that brings all the boys to the yard but then gets sold/scrapped as another unfinished project. Ok. I am done.

Unfortunately it presents the same problem to me as the Green GT40. NSW Rego head fuck.

Sort of - once legitimately registered an ICV should be able to be transferred into any state like any other car.

Except just about every state won't accept sign-offs from engineers registered in other states. Plus car has to be exactly as engineered/first registered and match the supplied engineers reports.

Both those things aren't insurmountable but they add $$ to the purchase or sell out plan.

With a quality kit like a DRB it's more of a paperwork hurdle for structural stuff, and because WA were trailing other states with emissions testing of ICVs it may also mean having to pass an IM240 which will probably require some investment in fresh cats and tuning, plus noise testing if that hasn't been done. Well you get the idea.

Between the hassle of having to maybe re-certify the entire build, remediate anything minorly not compliant you could be into the wrong end of $5k possibly $10k without trying too hard.

It seems stupid but even making a current (2012+) standard seatbelt warning is a pain in the dick - Warning light, then a warning beeper under time, speed or distance conditions. Only disabled when the belts are buckled etc.
Depends on your engineer etc etc

If my information is correct, there hasn't been an ICV registered in NSW in 18 months or so

The green LS3 FC ute from Down Town Kustoms (Taree) is an ICV and was registered in NSW in 2016 IIRC.

You information is incorrect - although the numbers are well down and RMS are being utter utter cunts apparently. The dick around is such that engineers/customer just aren't building stuff.
