Stop over complicating it for the poor cunt. Pull the TB apart, weld a 90* section of tight doughnut to it clocked in the right direction. put it back together, first joint will be a straight silicone. Will take less than 20mins to fix.

Post it to me with a dan murphy gift card and ill do it for you

This is my proposed solution. I thought I had some 12mm alloy plate but I doesn't.

    Perfectly fine.
Slightly more fuck around having to make flanges. Or go poverty spec and cut the flange off the plenum weld elbow to the plenum and weld flange to the elbow.

Those cast elbows and pretty much all cast aluminium welds are poo to weld and look poo compared to nice fresh 6k alloy.

Dimi: I've got one flange bolted to the manifold in that pic (it's actually a BA to FG adapter). Yeah, I didn't expect the China elbow to weld real well

    I've got some 10mm plate

Doing the fuel system at the moment. I only need the one way valve on the second 044, yeah? The Haltech will bring that on at, say, 75% throttle

in regard to swapping the bf alternator for a ba unit, is it as simple as just swapping them over then wiring power, sense and then alt light to the dash? or does the ecu recognise that its not there

Wouldn't be my choice of spot. If pinion gear breaks (common occurrence) tail shaft will take that out

Got a new rear brake line made up today, scored some 12mm plate, got some fittings and hose. Ordered silicon and alloy bends off the eBay. Started on battery in boot

    Mount surge tank in boot.

Drill out original sender fuel pickup line to 3/8 or 1/2 with new sock filter...just make sure it goes closer to bottom of tank unlike factory carb tank 7mm pickup line that sits too high..lift pump can mount in crevice next to sender unit.

If efi tank can weld deeper swirlpot/tank sump underneath..toss plastic shit thing inside & bend up return line to top of tank so it's no longer restriction.

Fuck oath after all the fucking around with factory tanks required those fuel cell set ups look enticing.

an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

Yeah, dunno. I don't like the surge next to the spinny thing either but :shrugs:

Maybe get a smaller fuel tank made to take up 2/3 the room and run the surge in the remaining room

    Dunno

Why are they so horrible? Aside from taking up valuable dead hooker space

Efi Hardware intank kit would be better than getting another tank made but already got f/pumps.

Yup - I put a VE fuel pot with EFI Hardware weld in kit into a stock HQ tank and it worked perfectly, 1 x 60psi line to the rails and life was good.

Why is everyone hooked on the "must have surge tank" in this day and age. I dont run one and have no problems with fuel surge, I run a custom tank with pickups from the bottom of the tank. Its nothing elaborate but works

Yeah, if I can't find somewhere better for the surge, that's what I'll be doing

    Hmmmm, thoughts?

Now it's a bit of a crash safety issue

Obviously I'd trim the bottom of mount
