    turbo oil pressure

    I have a GT4202 journal bearing turbo and ever since new I get oil in the outlet of the compressor.
    engine is a 1UZ running 10w40 synthetic oil and can have 100psi of pressure when cold.
    question is can I run a restrictor with a journal bearing turbo or could I try one of the new turbosmart turbo oil pressure regs?

    Garrett website says it can occur from a restrictive intake also??

    thanks I will try a restrictor first, any idea how small to go?

    How big is the oil drain and where does it drain back to?

    speedflow -10 back to the top of the sump above the oil level

    speedflow -10 from both rocker covers to a catch can with 1 filter on a -10 fitting

    1mm is fine for the restrictor, can't see any other reason for it.

    The only other thing you could do is check for crankcase pressure under boost. Get and oil cap and tap a thread in it, screw a barb in and connect to boost gauge and go for drive.
