Looks a lot like mine, but I have silver wheels and chrome flares. Mine's 998 too, but I'm happy with that as an occasional driver. Rally car is getting a built 1275.

We put a light bar on the front of ours with 4 x chrome aircraft landing lights, I reckon that would look good on yours too.

yeah, I've got 2 brand new cibie super oscars and 1x brand new of those small diode thing ones. Just waiting to find a good italian job mount then I'll put it on.

I wanna paint the flares red too and either go full silver alloys or just put mambas or something.

    lol easy fit

ford 3cyl ecoboost would be way easier to fit if going down that route, not a honda motor the size of an apartment block

What the hell are you doing with my wheels? Same design and colour, which is a bit odd because they're custom ordered and I'm fairly sure mine are still on my car.

Well that makes sense! Depends on the flares - plus you can choose any offset like you like.

Mine wasn't quite right for the legality side of things but it does look pretty good.

    Without flares:

    With standard group 2.

They do look awesome, but hard to find in 10's.

Force Racing do an SSR lookalike:

And Specialist Components now do a range of split rims for a bit cheaper than Force:

this is on the road now. ish.

generator has decided somewhere along the way it no longer wants to generate. making only 7V. cars at ron howells now getting an alternator fitted.

    obligatory dog shot

technically I told my wife I bought the car for the dog lol

drives real nice actually. engine is nice and smooth. maybe smells a little smoky? but then the exhausts on minis are 110% leaking.

has a slight crunch going into 3rd and a little of 4th. moreso on downshifts. clutch feels good but judders if you get it wrong when coming from a crawl. but otherwise very good. im surprised coils actually feel nice. I always thought they were no good on minis.

after the alternator I just want to paint flares red and add round white stickers to the door for racecars. maybe put my spotties on.

edit : as gutless are 998's are, its definitely better than an auto 998 lol

the generator thats not generating is now replaced by an alternator thats alternating.

now to get a wheel alignment and decide what to do with the motor

Drivers side door needs to adjusted forward just slightly... nice car though (I had a '76 Mini S of similar colour & engine size).
