    Titan Rear Drawers

Just made the plunge and bought a drawer system yesterday...

$440 delivered is a no brainer for me. Been reading reviews and mostly are positive.

The only thing that really held me back, but wa sthe child anchor points. In my 80 Series, they are on the floor, so if anyone has any tips about that would be appreciated.

I think you will lose your anchor points, theres nothing really you can do as the drawers will be right on top of them. Unless you can move them somewhere else and get them approved?
For me, it wasnt an issue tho.
I have the titans and for the price you cant go wrong, i bought mine when they were around $650 and even at that price i thought they were a steal! theres no way i would even attemp making one for the price you can buy them at...

Only way around it would be fit a restraint bar above the drawers, which is far from cheap. Where in the floor are they? I've seen guys who have custom made draws that a shorter to fit around the restraint, pita but might be your only option.

Holesaw through the drawers and drawer frame then mousehole the drawer and reinforce it so it can open and drawer shit doesn't snag on the restraint belt?

I have Outback drawers in both my Landcruisers and I have used a rated child restraint extension that bolts to the floor under the drawers runs under drawers and pokes out between the drawers and the back seats and connects to the kids seats, pretty sure I got them from Autobarn?

Interesting, my 1995 DX model 80 series has 3 restraint points in the roof above the rear doors, nothing in the floor. They are blanked off with plastic caps

Yeah, some have in the floor, some have where yours is, and im not sure which models have what.

At first i thought all DX (Barn Door) models had it where yours is, then I seen a GXL with it, so I thought maybe all series 1 have it up top, but I have seen series 2 there too lol

    Unboxed:

Used two bolts for the tie down points toward the front of the car, and 2 right at the rear.

Remove the non fridge slide sides top
Titan Drawers-0974 by Shane, on Flickr

    And remove the drawers

Mount the frame in the car, and thats where I figured what points to use, pretty easy

Side wings fitted, i had to trim one side due to the water tank i have in the side panels buldging out.

    Fit the top back on

    And finished!

One thing I was worried about was the child anchors, but there is just enough room, and height, and using an extension strap, it works!

I want a 1300mm set for the Suburban but the 1300mm version is only 240mm high rather than the 270mm that the 900mm and 1070mm drawers are. Probably going to bite the bullet and just deal with the lack of height I suppose.

Anyone know whether you can still use rear fold down seats with these in place? Say on an 80?

Where would one find a shorter drawer?

I've been looking for something with a ~500mm long drawer, 400mm wide. Height not so much a problem as I'll have a couple stacked on top of each other.
