    VF GTS Rotors & Pads

    Hi Team,

According to Holden, these are expensive.

Anyone replaced a set before? If so where & how much?

    Anyone make aftermarket options?

    Cheers

Contact Kabab on here. He runs an online parts business and does PF discounts.

I do a few, always use aftermarket rotors but genuine (AP) pads. The pads cost 700 front 500 rear from Holden, but every time I've used aftermarket they come back whinging about squeals

    1. Take off current set and sell to unsuspecting Holden forum member.
    2. Buy new aftermarket setup from V-sport?

Retail price from Burson, Bendix heavy duty pads are $160 front, $200 rear. Trade is almost half that. DBA rotors are $890 each on the front, about 30% less if you know someone with a trade account. No listing on rear rotors.

The bendix pads chew the rotors. And make it sound like an EL cab.

    Thanks for the replies lads.

$9K!!! Ok perhaps my quote at $5500 fitted was a little more reasonable.... except to your point itsnotagsr you can get a whole fucking brand new kit including the calipers for that price! Realistically sounds like be able to get away for half that price.

What are the sizes of rotors? Like for real can we fit say ap or equivalent 2 piece rotors and design up custom hats? Get an upgrade at massive saving then sell the hats to everyone else?

This is from what I can find (not 100% sure if correct)

    VF GTS LSA Front Disc
    Outer Dia = 390mm
Height = 54mm Rear face of rotor to front face of hat
    Nom Thick = 35.5mm
    Min Thick = 33.5mm
Hub Reg = Spigot Dia 67.45mm
    Bolt Size = 14mm
    Bolt Circle = 5 x 120.0mm
Offset = 45.5mm from hub mounting face to inboard brake face

    VF GTS LSA Rear Disc
    Outer Dia = 372mm
Height = 41mm Rear face of rotor to front face of hat
    Nom Thick = 28.0mm
    Min Thick = 26.0mm
Hub Reg = Spigot Dia 67.45mm
    Bolt Size = 14mm
    Bolt Circle = 5 x 120.0mm

The fronts you can do rears from a quick look does not seem so promising.

From a quick read it seems DBA do fronts and pads seem the same as the w427 so there are replacement pads available.

Yer there isnt much in the way of replacement rings in a 370mm x 28mm or there abouts, although we may have found something - just working out of cost effective or not.

DBA fronts are generally $600-650ea for the full assembly and $450 for replacement rings, front pads $300-450ish per set
