    Ranger PX2 XLT

Finally joined the group. Give me your tips and insights.

I've still got the standard 17" rims so will put some beefy AT's on them for off-roading.

Now if you get flares they'll sit well inside the flare. 50mm flares are the skinniest, which matches to +10 offset, with 0 offset rims giving you a little bit of poke.

Take it to SWAT Suspension if you want pre-runner look. Big lifts come out of there, Nick Manns massive PX Ranger was done there.

Don't touch the exhaust, changing it does nothing, unless you are going to do turbo, intercooler and tune... it literally will not make a single difference. Muffler delete if you want noise. Even a tune with exhaust is pretty much the same as tune only.

Turf the sidesteps, and get the electric fold down ones

Don't spend money on shit you won't use

Thanks for the info. Very informative.

So are you saying get skinny flares or just leave it?

    Sans Sidesteps also?

Could just get 30mm flexi flares, the ones with wire molded in dont look too horrible. Wheel poke is an easy one to get defected for.

One does not fit flexi flares on a modern vehicle, that's for GQ Patrols!

Mind you, the photo looks like its poking an inch, if its poking two inches then it will be fine, take measurements. Stock offset is +55 and the flares are 50mm.

I think the PX2 sidestep looks rubbish, but each to their own. Taking them off will make it look taller too.

Whatever you do, don't fit a XROX bullbar! They are awful!

My BIL said they'll get bent up at the first rough trail. These are 20x9 with +12 offset.

Yeh they are steps, not sliders... If you lean your car on a rock with those steps be ready to cave in the sill.

Get flares and an 8mm slip on spacer and it'll be flush then. Plenty of meat on the bolts to fit those style spacers without concern.

Good choice. I have had the G2 on mine for a month or so in 285/60/18. I'm impressed by them.

Yea first impression they have good road manners, we drove rolling hills wet bitumen road today, my son asked me what my favourite thing about this car was this arvo.

'It's a 4wd that handles like a car' was my response.
Also not sure how heavy you blokes are to bend the side steps down.

Cheers Dave I'll look at those.

I don't reckon I'm gonna take the side steps off, the kids are still pretty young so I'll be lifting them into the car all the time, fuck that.

Let there be light, I trimmed the number plate this arvo so it is thinner and fits neatly into the bumper, looks better than in this pic

The steps should be fine depending on what you're doing. If you start bending them just replace with some rock sliders.
