    VW Jetta GLI Turbo Upgrade?

    I'm looking to start upgrading my 2006 Jetta GLI but I don't know exactly where to start. I know I should begin with intake and exhaust but after that I'm not sure if I should go for a tune or downpipe or anything? I can't seem to find much info online so I figured a forum was my next best option.

    VW pretty much used K03 turbo's exclusively for most of their larger capacity 4 cylinder engines, even the diesels. Turbo exhaust housing is part of exhaust manifold which limits your upgrade choices. It's also a cunt to remove and prone to heat related cracking. You'll have one of the numerous K03 turbo variants fitted. Without changing to a new manifold, the biggest you will really be able to go is a high flowed K03S, can usually find 225hp upgrade options. If you want to spend that kind of money for maybe 30-40hp upgrade, thats up to you.

    Is it the 1.9 or 2.0bkd diesel?

    Usa sites will help with the 1.9 kerma tdi
    U.K. Sites the the bkd dark side developments

    Wouldn't bother with the 125 bmn motor the injectiors and wiring loom are as trustworthy as a politician during an election. But the Turbos on those are good for 160kw anyway.

    VW issued revised parts for those. Repeat failures are pretty rare.

    Ecu Flash and upgrade the plastic diaphragm thing on the turbo, leave the rest.
