It was a smidge under 250. The plot had the scaling lines aligned with the left hand side. I have reprinted it with the scaling matching for both sides of the speed section.

Yeah the 3 element wing went on last year. There was a new 2 element (lower drag) wing this year which they alternated with the 3 element.
This year the rear diffuser is much shorter and there was also one pic of the new infinity wings front end which didn't end up on the car for the weekend. Don't know the story about the front end.

Been following WTAC on book of face and it seems like some overseas entries and some heavy hitters in the drift comp. As far as Aussie entries haven't heard much

I think MCA will be up there for sure, Tilton will depend on how good the owner is at driving as i have not seen him drive. I think Fire Ando will be up there this year and suzuki under i dont think will be in top 3. would love him to but his car is so suited to japan i think it struggles with Sydney

lets hope the weather is good.

Tilton won't be going for outright. Kosta is a good bloke and a decent steerer but it's going to be aat least 2sec away from Garth's pace. He's gunning for the Pro-Am or whatever they call it.

I'll be going with a mate who comes down every year.

The stuff on the track is ok. But I find looking at the street cars in the car park the most fun.

I just noticed a Ginetta G55 is in the entry list. That surely has to be really stretching the definition of what is a production car.....

If they are struggling for numbers anything goes. At the end of the day its largely a once a year event for purpose built cars that cost an absolute mint to be competitive. Not that surprising to see the top tier field thinning.

How many g55s have been built compared to space frame evos and s13s?

But home many G55's come with twin turbos? I'm guessing the one on the entry list is the one that PR Tech modified earlier this year.

At British events a few years back, they could normally get two hands worth of g55 entries, they run middle east and europe in reasonable numbers too. Gearbox has a torque limit not much beyond what they do stock, if it's a g50 converted, still with a quaife installed - stand clear! GT3 box would probably be ok, but a lot of coin to drop for 1 lap rubbish.

not denying that, but the rules were originally designed to specifically rule out kit cars and exotics. and the regs still say as much

The rules were also about no tube frame cars and mostly stock firewall, but look at them now! Build a space frame then weld in some of the original floor and firewall. #becausestreetyre=streetcar

As cool as it is seeing these unlimited, crazy builds, sometimes hard and fast restrictions brings out the best engineering.

I question this last year with the R8 as to me that went Beyond what I thought WTAC was originally intended for but it would appear its anything goes at Rule Makers discretion

I'd love to know what something like this could do with an unlimited budget :

I would love to see exotics run at the event. It would really put into perspective how fast these big build time attack cars are.

I also think it's time for slicks
