I noticed this last time my car got new tyres and wheel alignment. Since its a company car i didnt bother saying anything because the workshop is useless past changing an oil filter.

I have no source of problem however it eventually settled down

Mine is a 03 prado by the way

If I understand it correctly your two sets of rims are going to give you a different scrub radii:

    OE are +50
    Advan are effectively +40.

If the difference is taking you from a zero or slightly negative scrub radius, to slightly positive, this could cause instability.

So it's only 5mm difference in offset between the two rims? You wouldn't think this would make much difference to the scrub radius. Is the car FWD? We went from +50 to +25 in the Swift, only made a slight difference to stability, and really only noticable under brakes.

Yeah, that makes sense, and could be scrub radius going positive, but I'm struggling to believe 5mm could make that much of a difference. Are you able to put the 5mm spacers on the OE rims and see if it behaves the same? If I'm following the bouncing ball here, that would mean the OE rims had the same effective offset as the Allys, +45, is that right?

Another left field thought, if the guts of the issue here is steering sensitivity, could it simply be that the Toyo's grip is that much better than the Dunlops, you are getting a much more crisp response to the initial steering input.

Yeah, fair point, I think we can bin scrub radius as the cause. What toe setting are you running? If you added a little more toe in, it should take the sharpness our of the initial response.
