    Sweet, didn't know about the skyline fan thing. Let us know when you're heading to Fraser, you pretty much have to drive past my place to get there. You could take it for a spin if you wanted. Fraser is real quiet now. Camped up inskip on sunday and the place was empty.

    I started a little thread when I got it but stopped updating trips and stuff. I might see where I got up to and add some more at some point. There is definitely a boys Cape trip missing where all my mates went and we took our dads. Also the Gulf/Kakadu/Litchfield/Simpson trip missing.

    Best vehicle to have in remote areas imo is the same as what every other cunt has.

    After our holiday in June last year up to Exmouth then inland through Kennedy Ranges to the northern highway.

    lc200 or7x lc be it ute troopy wagon or dual cab. Would of made up 60% of the vehicles
    There were some 100series not huge amounts.
    A few gu61 poo trolls gu62s I think we saw like 2 on the Whole trip
    Then other brands makes etc.

    We did it in a pajero td auto and only issues we had were tires and an airline for the airbags.

    We went after school holidays and the vast majority of people were baby boomer age and just retired in the last few years so most likely that the lc200 is a keeping up with the jones thing.

    Combined 17.2/100 they reckon 😂 or is that just what’s automatically listed?

    gu8 CRD patrol vs 2005 100 series 4.2td Cruise

    They go pretty well, turbos seem to help lower consumption though

    Did they come standard with a rear E locker or was it optional?

    If you save $10k buying a TB48 one that buys you 30,000km of fuel or it will take nearly 130,000km of driving before your where you would of been with a TD42;
    roughly speaking assuming a TD42ti does 15/100 and a Tb48 does 20/100

    The 2 extra gears in the auto also help. Been in a stock long block + turbo tb48 Y61 that is mega fun.
