    Aluminium fuel tank fabrication

    Lads,

Who's the guru for this sort of stuff.

My mates low drag had an aluminium tank built in the UK. It's leaking. Options are to have a go at fixing it or pull it apart and re create one from scratch.

This needs to be top quality. Who is the right person?

I can only speak for Vic but Darren at Trikfab does plenty of alloy tanks.

His work is top notch. His website is a bit out of date but he updates Facebook regularly.

Oh, and you can fix the leak with green palmolive soap bar smeared along the weep/crack. Was done in period :P

Any new or modified fuel tank I get now a days I put tank sealer in it. Even tanks built by exceptional welders seem to have pinhole leaks in them.

thanks lads for all your efforts, have passed on details, he's going to extreme custom fabrications in archerfield as per above for a chat. will also recommend he puts a por15 product in.

@gamma I don't reckon the Palmolive would cut it, at least not in this one.
