    GT3 / Sports Car Merchandise

I've been a frustrated Sports Car fan for a long time in regards to the availability of merchandise. So much so, that I'm considering producing some merchandise to sell online. I have a long time friend who is an amazing artist, and have made some initial contact with him to produce some artwork for the merchandise. My initial thoughts are to start concentrating on producing some T shirts with current day GT3 cars and go from there. Maybe other cars, maybe other items such as stubby coolers etc but will need to work out if there's a big enough market for such things. Not sure how far I can go with wording on the shirts, as I'm sure things like "GT3" and car brands are all registered and copyrighted.

Would love some input and thoughts on this from you guys, especially anyone who's had involvement with printing shirts etc.

Here's a couple of photos of my friends work.

I'm liking what I'm seeing so far with those two examples. I'd be very interested in something like that.

As another Sportscar racing fan I've found that there's next to nothing here as far as GT merchandise. I've got a few shirts from local teams but they were either event shirts for B12 or gifts from people connected to the team.

Europe doesn't get much better, even the bigger teams such as WRT or AF Corse don't have a lot of stuff and it's hard to get a hold of. I know Haribo Racing and Schubert have some merch available online but good luck getting the sizing right.

I'd love some shirts with some good images on them so if you're moving forward with this you've already got one customer in me.

Initial investigations underway. Been in contact with the artist and he's on board, so just need to sort out shirt supplies and printing costs etc. Along with the shirts, I'm looking into the possibility of distributing some 'driving shoes' as the availability here in Australia is abysmal.

Actially that driving shoe idea is pretty good, something between a Converse all star and proper driving shoe would be sweet, definite gap in the market there, niche but couldbe worthwhile

I got a pair of the Hunziker McQueen racing series shoes when Pelican parts had a sale on them, ended up being around $120 delivered from the States, but still more comfortable and cheaper, when on sale, than anything else I could find in Brisbane at the time.

from time to time the Puma clearance place at DFO has drift cat's for cheap...

it's not going to be a huge market though and i'd imagine the logistics would suck (as would having to keep local stock and not being able to drop ship)

Those are quite nice actually. Will wait until OP decides course of action. I need a decent pair of non wanky driving shoes since i don't have my cons with me.
