    They are small cars, that's why I like them. Less weight, small frontal area, etc. I can just fit in with standard seats. The trick is to fit a race seat and bolt it straight to the floor. Have you driven one? They feel so different when you hook it into a corner, even turning into a street at an intersection is noticeably different to a normal car.

    I have everything to make the wings now. I dicked around today making the curved alloy pieces for the wing mounts. Let me know you width and wing mount spaces. I will make one over the weekend to work out prices more accurately.

    No new model fastbacks are on the drawing board as yet.

    My engineer wants me to beef up the mounts. He said they should be 2.5 times stronger than necessary. So will order some thicker plates, it's easy now that the drawings are done.

    I refinished the fastback roof and boot as well the internal frames after they had sustained some damage and lost some of there size due to over sanding from the last guy. They are all at the new place ready to go.

    I don't think anyone has done a fastback for the ND yet. I might look into it one day.

    Ps, saw the pics on facepalm... you only doing the one 30cm chord at present? No chance you can get couple of secondary smaller flap chords? Say like a 120mm SM101 profile?

    Also, which profile did you 'lend' for the 30cm profile you've got?

    I do have the moulds and bits to make the second element as well. It's the SM183 profile. I made the wing from scratch originally from online images. That's the one I did the 1:43 at Phillip Island with. But I needed a wider mould, so started again.

    had a look, id be after 168cm width, with mounts 92cm apart.

    ideally id be after 1x 30cm chord, and 2x 12cm chords - planning a dual element upper deck (maybe with active second element), and a lower deck chord to help pump the diffuser.

    planning something like this...



    alternative incarnation making the lower chord smaller between the mounts. will make the whole thing perhaps a little less bulky and offensive on the eyes (still with the dual element upper deck though):

    I think you may as well go with the full width one. I don't find it offensive. Just hope you can balance out the front aero.

    I can add and remove the flaps as we go. As mentioned, figured I can mount them from the end plates, so simple bunch of laser cut end plates in different configurations, and suddenly have infinite wing combinations

    No fastbacks but there is an AM hardtop for them now. http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda...t/61-2024.html

    Would look tops as a fastback, especially if you could get the lines to flow like the 124 spider/coupe renderings.
