    VL something turbo

This continues my theme of white commodores with interceptors ( VN, vs wagon, 5.7 Vz, 6.0 Vz, vk, vs ute). I've been keeping an eye out for a clean white vl for a while now. In Vic people are after drug money for even shitters, so asked some interstate mates to keep an eye out. This was sent thru as a mates mates sons car in radelaide. Kid is stone broke and car was defected. Very clean car, no rust, interior alright, might 6 with extractors and exhaust, leb spec suspension. Anyhoo, I threw in a lowball and he accepted. Have to get the defect lifted and title cleared, also powersteering fixed. Fly over and drive back

This will be a longer build than my Barra ute which I smashed out. 19" Simmons already sold to a mate, so will sort some interceptors. I learnt alot from the ute build so will put that into practice. Na FG motor, with high mount manifold that commotion has almost done. Probably plazmaman intake, hassle milkman dan for the t04z he has hiding in his garage, e85, 450-500 rwkw. Buddy has a 6cyl glide that he will build with all the fruit and run a dellow/torquepower bellhousing. 9" and 2 piece tailshaft. Keep it simple

I've long thought that BA turbos are/will be the spiritual successor to VL turbos. This project makes so much sense!

Oh remember not to fit any BOVs so it choo choos like any proper VL, and side mount the numberplate.

Standard issue P plate & defect notice.just needs zututu plates.

Hate to say those fr1 simmons look ok in pics.

Barra conversions are taking over now with lsa long way second
an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

Excellent!! I always had a thing for a clean white VL, I couldn't find one when looking for mine and settled on a colour I hadn't even thought of

A mate has a tough as nails VL with a Barra, Let me know if you need any info...

I thought it wouldn't take long to see a thread on this car. You will have to start a Barra conversion shop next. I have an MX5 that handles too well and needs a massive 6 cyl motor out front.

Perfect. This makes so much sense to me, a cheap way to build a very fast car and be within the road rules.

I'll have a look at the to4 I've got, think the hot side will suit no problem, front may be a bit small.

S1 motor is the unwanted, probably 3 bucks, S1 doesn't have the oil/water line provisions that the S2 motor has, The jatco are basically shit...

He did this on both of his, unsure what size rim he was running for clearance if needed,

Alternatively I did this with mine for the 2JZ and can fit a 3.5" pipe there easy enough

I know that guy Geoff Lucas that built the yellow 2JX VL scalloped the provision for the pipe in where I bashed it's head in

That's a lot of gear for $5k. If I was in a position to do the same I would have gotten you to get two of everything. I need to find places for some of these cars.
