The trimmer said that as well.

Saying that I should get a buffer as well. Maybe I'm just a sucker for punishment to do things by hand

No stress bud. Paint not that bad, bars let it down more, just rattled on. At some stage I'll replace them all.

Finished the front end. Painted the Venetians satin black, 10x betterer. Fixed the exhaust hitting on the Panhard bar. Next stop aircon and then rwc.

I'm not that fussy. If stuff has natural wear I'm cool with that. Not a show car. A driver

Put the ute into the garage, so the vl finally made it out. Old girl cruises ok, exhaust with only centre muffler bearable. Uses hardly any fuel. Brakes are not really confidence inspiring. Has new front rotors and pads, so could just need a bleed.

Went to the carwash and gave the engine bay a good degrease and pressure wash. Came out alright. Spent most of the evening cruising. Will do for summer. Helping a buddy with his xe Barra swap anyway

    This ^^

RB30 are fine, just need to do alot to them for big power, they are basically like a BA motor, have to do rods, oil pump, head studs/gasket blah blah.

But no changing K frame, dump pipe easier side, lot of stuff available, no fucking with radiators, single cam easier ecu, blah blah blah

Aim is deep 9s, no rocket science involved, done many times.

    Imagine the dose!
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

Hope you gas the fucker so don't have to wait 5 mins for it to come on boost at startline.

Looks boring watching them do that at wsid.
an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

Bonus is there is a world of aftermarket shit that simply fits, and as you said, its easy and proven, 9's should be pretty easy.

This is true. Prices are only going up.

Just slap a turbo on the RB NA motor, keep the boost levels sane and it will be fine
