Megane II RS rear brake rotors

    Hi all,

Doing pad/rotor change on my Megane RS 225.

It has the optional 300mm rear rotors...

Anyone have a clue where the fuck to get them from?

if you can wait, ebay in the UK.
my mate saved a fortune for service items (wheel bearings, clutch, brakes) over locally sourced items when he had his megane

Either of you able to narrow it down beyond that ?

Front pads and rotors were sourced easily and well priced - any savings from UK are negated by the 80 pound shipping fee...

Have you had a flick through the K-Tec site yet?

Non dealership parts in Aus seem to be few and far between unfortunately.

    Some options there.

As an aside, rotors from Renault are $341 plus gst EACH

You can get these cheap from pelican parts. Last set I did they sent the 245 rotors and when we sent them back the courier broke the ABS ring and the stealership charged us for them at 1k. We bought through Sydney and never again. Pads are easy as you obviously know as you only asked for the rotors.

Just read the 300mm option Cant remember if they are 245 or 265 rotors I think they are the 265 rotors.

Oh - the 300mm rears are probably common with a Grand Scenic of the same vintage, worth trying to widen the search.

Have a look at the Remsa catalog, OEM part numbers should help match up things

Give Greg a call anyways. He's very helpful and can often get stuff in that isn't listed.

Pretty much the only option is some where overseas unless you get them from a Renault dealer here. Still ends up cheaper getting them from overseas. They are expensive as come with the wheel bearing in them as well.

Upgraded ones can be had from Ktec or Kam Racing and a few other places. Factory items can be had from http://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/ - I buy all my factory renault gear from them.

Pretty easy to get fronts from DBA in Aus, they do nothing for the rears. Just have to watch it with the rears as they have different bearing sizes depending on which model car you have.

Think from memory they are 26 and 28mm bearings? R26 and later model cups tend to have the larger size. Mine is an 08 RS225 cup and it has the larger size.

Pads can be sourced locally easily.

Front pads and rotors, no issue. Rear pads no issue, got them all within 24 hours.

Apparently the Europe stuff was 26 early, 30 late, R26 all 30, international stuff all 30.

Getting mechanic to measure quickly over weekend and will order out of the UK. Current pads probably have 5000km in them so it's not desperate, but was just surprised at no availability.
