I'm a massive fan of Lowndes and its frustrating seeing him running around mid pack. I honestly don't think he's slowed up that much but the car is definitely not at the same level as the RedBull cars despite it supposedly being the exact same. Ludo has made a big difference too which is clear when looking at how well DJRP are going.

One thing I was surprised at was Luff in the wet. Overtaking main game drivers and doing a really good job!

Why? Luff is probably one of the most underrated drivers in the game.

I don't think he'll have to worry about a drive for next year with the team (in enduros) unlike Pye

    Very accomplished steerer.

Has done a few stints in the main game, but like many other decent B drivers, it just doesn't work for him.

ďThese days, Iíll only make a move if I have a 60% chance of pulling it off. A couple of years ago Iíd go for 50/50 opportunities. When I was young, if there was a 20% chance of making it, Iíd go for itĒ.
As you get older common sense tends to prevail more, that goes for everything in life. Risk assessment becomes more mature (or maybe more conservative is a better word) and that's usually at the expense of ambition.

Did a few laps at Oran Park many moons ago with Luffy Jnr in the silly seat as i did my OLT.

Then we swapped seats and he drove 3 laps. Fuck me. I suddenly realised i was miles off what was required to actually be "fast". Went 3 secs quicker on the GP track next session. Thanks Luffy Jnr !

I would love to see how much faster a pro is against a good club level guy. When I do a lap I am happy with, it doesn't feel like there is anything left in it to go quicker. But you never know unless you throw someone like Luff in it.

I put a mate in my car that is highly regarded (has done a few Supercar races) and he was 0.6 quicker than me. I reckon with more seat time he'd find another half a second to a second pretty easily. I don't rate myself either, I'm shit... lol
