    Nissan Patrol

Mate from Esperance is selling his Patrol as he's just score a fully loaded Ranger as a company car. The Patrol is currently up in Perfs at my house to make it easier to sell. I know nothing about these things but will forward on enquiries.

Nissan Patrol, 3litre Turbo Diesel, 5 speed manual, 277,000km which are mostly country km's, 7 seats. Features include Milford cargo barrier, Factory bull bar, Narva spot lamps, 2 inch Tough Dog lift kit, GME 40 channel UHF radio, electric brake, Hayman Reese hitch with tow ball, side awning. He's just had the whole thing detailed as well.

It's been serviced by a Esperance mechanic every 6 months or 10,000kms. It's had "Cush" clutch and flywheel replaced with an aftermarket unit in January 2009. WA registration until April 2018. PM me for details.

    $12,900 ono.

Dont start it, move it or even look at it as you might let the ZD30 out all over your driveway.

My parents had a mint, low km two owner ZD30. They knew about the turbo death thing and spent a mint on preventing it prior to an interstate trip. The gearbox blew up in southern NSW.

In other ZD30 news - the first two cars that died in the 2011 Shitbox Rally were two new, rented ZD30s driven by the photographers.

Anyway, genuine good luck with the sale, a 277k one is probably actually unkillable by now.

Or the fuse is just about to reach the dynamite lol
But, you get a lot of 4WD for the money. Guy at work recently bought one that's a hamburger with the lot, he reckons its not going to explode but I reckon he has factored that in.
Blow the motor, fix it for a few grand yourself and do another 250,000km with the money you saved over the TD42ti model.

Is the motor a few grand fix though?
A LS2 conversion makes more sense if it goes boom.

Head is about $1000, pistons, rings, bearings and shit is about another $1200 for the good aftermarket stuff.
Flex hone it, put it back together, new MAF sensor and manual boost control if you want and your pretty good.

The ZD30 is actually a pretty solid engine just let down by the electronic fuel and boost control. Glow plugs crack the head, put the fuckers on a manual switch if you need them.

I did see an ad where a guy spent 4.5k on an injector pump for his zd30, which is getting close to LS swap money or the value of the whole gu.

2.2k is nothing really to get it going again, just hope it doesnt blow in the middle of nowhere.

Yea pumps are bullshit expensive for what they are. Bosch vp44 and half day job to change.

EGT gauge will save the engine if watched and driven to. Need it mounted in the exhaust manifold for best results.

Spoke to the owner. Only drama he's had in ten years is a AFM fail on him. Regular maintenance I suppose is the key?

Dunno. Runs on devil juice and it's blocking my driveway. I need it gone.
