Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

^ Ah, is that WTF it is? I couldn't make out the badge (and wasn't able to check the URL at home) ...

But while looking for that, this appeared:

Bonhams reports that two shooting brakes were built based on V8 Coupes, and despite the fact that they were built at the factory the cars were first constructed with coupe bodies before being converted. One of these examples is the car you see above, and it was completed as a coupe in July 1996. The car would return to the factory in September of that year, with the shooting brake conversion taking the next four months -- a pretty brisk pace, at least for Aston Martin.

So far from this thread I've worked out; if someone calls a station wagon a shooting break and it makes your panties bunch up and sand flow from your vagina you need to promote yourself to PF's upper class and look down on the peasants

Shooting brake is now just a marketing term.

Totally a shooting brake. If it has two doors and you can fit a washing machine in the back it's a shooting brake.

I think that KG is a photoshop - where's the engine?

I've always wanted a Brazilian Karmann Ghia:

    or the 1600 Karmann prototype

    and a real shooting brake:
