    what car for under............... thread again.

    Pretty much 100% sure I will be coming home early next year so am looking on car-sales for vehicles to buy initially under 15k.

    But increasing that spend a bit I see I can buy a 2017 Mazda 3 (I love my 3) for 23,490 drive away which is about 4k more than what I will sell my 2014 Maz 3 here for, but then I see the Kia Cerato S driveaway for 19,900..

    What else should I look at for 20k (ish), I know buying new is a bit of a wank and should buy something a year or 2 old and save some coin but the idea of a new car warranty is attractive and the knowledge that it aint been cut and shut by some swede ever more attractive.

    So, throw some idea's at me but must be 4cyl as the rego costs over there are bullshit exxy.

    So, <= 2 years old, 4 cylinder, ~$20k

    Do you have any other criteria?

    don't buy a new car, buy something with a balance of new car warranty so you still have peace of mind but it's depreciated some already

    Reckon I'd personally go for the best WRX available for $20k or less; even though it would be more like 7 years old, rather than 2.

    I reckon a procee'd would be ok and should still have 4 or 5 years warranty left

    I'd have one.
    We had an ex-cop car at work about 12 months ago which I was very tempted to go for at the time. Ended up getting the Stagea instead.

    They wouldn't do that to you here.
    Instead they'd fuck you in the arse. Totally different.
    Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

    That's a shame, but I agree with you there. Seems to be par for the course for Ford in Australia.

    The new i30 SR looks like it would make a decent daily. Probably wouldn't be long until demo models are in the low-mid $20's.
