DT400 Dirt Tracker. Wanting to put on Methanol

Hi all, I came across this forum whilst looking around for info on DT400 builds. I had a good read through ls40x's thread, lots of good stuff there.

I've spent the last year turning this crusty farm fresh DT:

    into this:

It still has the original 40 year old motor in it. By playing around with the pipe I made for it, jetting etc. It is running ok now, but no where near fast enough for dirt track.

I have been collecting DT parts for the last year and have a spare motor that I plan to have rebuilt on methanol for next years season. Has anyone built one of these on methanol and have any advice? I like to have as much info to hand as I can.

A bit of video of it running

I have an oversized cylinder and piston sitting here that I might throw on it over my Christmas break, just for shits and giggles.

    Thanks

    Rod

Logical debate beats name calling any day. My Badges Of Honour so far in PF: Racist, Bigot, Islamaphobe, Numpty, Moron, Far Right Wing Nationalist, Far Fight Wing Fascist, "raving fucking lunatic", "dumb" & climate "denier". AND they are just SOME of the pathetic tags that I've been labelled by SOME here. HINT: Those labels are signs that the accusers have lost to logical debate.

This is obviously assuming all your AUX outputs are doing something. Ie idle control, and the other does water spray, and the other updates your Instagram automatically etc.

This is awesome, looking forward to the methanol update

The only thing that would make it more awesome is if it was registered

If the pipe works on petrol, the spec isn't going to be anywhere near right when it's on meth. Incidentally, pipe looks way too short - how did you come up with the specs?
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

Hi Gamma, because this motor is still bog stock I extrapolated from the original pipe and spoke to some guys that know more than me.

I now have a couple of pipe programs and this pipe is pretty close based on the specs I put in.

I'm having the methanol motor built by some pros, so I'll get them to work out the new pipe specs and I'll make it.
