DUMB 80 - 180sx drift car that we actually drifted

I dont know what happened.. after hyperdrive killed the ECU in our HR31, we stopped caring and then caibs sold it for way more than we thought 31s were worth

We bought a 180sx that is non complied so no one can whinge its too nice to bin ($100 on caibs putting it into a wall cos hes a reckless cunt)

I wasnt uploading shit cos photobucket ate dicks, but ill happily spin some shit yarns about our shitbox thats fucking shit.. and we are also completely shit at driving it

This lives in tasmania now apparently

    How we got it

Immediate speed holes + sleepy eyes cos we're rice faggots

Then we put ebay LEDs in as headlights

We took it to Ken Leongs Drift School cos we're fucking useless

We put in an alloy plate and an OMP suede wheel for extra drift points

Then we decided to paint it.. and we have no idea what we are doing

Im not sure wtf happened, but caibs purchased champagney hammertone - i thought we were going normal hammertone, but it came out pretty awesome for a shitbox 180

We took it to a D1WA Matsuri weekend to show off how shit we were at driving

Then it was decided to utilize one of caibs' spare wastegates, because the car wasnt shit enough

    Rice rice baby

We fitted some Gktech RCAs to attempt to make up for our lack of skillz and everyone was using them at Collie

We had random cut n shut knuckles but the car was rotating around so quickly, we think its possibly part of our problem.. so we changed to OEM ones when we did the RCAs.. we'll see how it goes soon!

I had drunk quite a bit of hennessey when i posted this originally haha

We had a couple small issues at Matsuri.. first the car would randomly kill the fuel pumps by blowing the fuse, after some googling apparently the fuel tank has an internal baffle that comes loose and shorts the fuel pump

I guess its lucky our tank was pretty full cos that sounds like a fire just waiting to happen, so we removed that

We also had some coil breakdown under load, for the most part you could back off and get back onto the throttle to drive around it but by the end of the weekend it was fucking up too much so we packed it in

I gotta say it was a good weekend, we spent most of the time in the gravel traps but it was sick fun.. especially when the car and parts are cheap so theres no real fear about destroying it

Ive definitely unfairly judged the people participating in drifting.. one of the most friendly atmospheres ive ecountered in the car community
