    2016 VF II - LSA R8 Clubsport

    Just under 10,000kms
    White
    Auto
    Spotless
    11mths NSW rego

Genuinely didn't think i'd ever part with this but i've been given an option to buy a new GTS-R that the buyer can't fund.

Need 70k to make it work. 6.2 litres of supercharged LSA goodness (without the lifter failures ), they ain't making any more of these fellas...

C'mon, buy it and give me another excuse to get divorced.

    Sydney based, Parramatta area.

What's the difference between GTS-R and Clubsport R8 anyway? (sorry haven't been tracking these spec wise)

    Not a lot mate.

From memory different rims, bigger brakes, a massive 5kw (claimed) extra, upgraded seats, different body kit.

Wasn't a fan until I saw this one the other day, they look so much better in person than in pics...

I thought you had a GTS for some reason?
The GTS has about an extra 30kW from (I think) cam & tune over an R8, then the R has a bit more again. So I think youíre upgrading with an extra 35kW-40kW or so.
Does the R8 have the MR suspension? Apparently it makes a big difference to comfort while increasing handling too.
The GTS (and R) also has little bibs & bobs which you could probably add aftermarket if you wanted but which make it a car thatíll cope better with a bit of track use. I canít remember what it is exactly; but itís stuff like better brakes and better engine-oil &/or transmission cooling.
Plus I donít think you get the quilted leather seats in the R8?
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Was looking at a gtsr at the dealership the other day. Noticed it had 2 piece rotors compared to the r8 which had 1 piece. I asked the salesman what the gtsr was worth, 130k apparently.

R8 and GTS have same running gear, as does the GTS-R. Quick run on the rollers, a couple of tweaks and they make the same power...

More about wanting one of the true last HSV's that have far fewer build numbers than the GTS / R8's....

Yeah, price on them varies a lot. Plenty of dreamers out there that think they are sitting on the next Phase III HO...

Still is mate. More than happy with it, just been offered a great deal so if this moves so be it. If not I'm not too fussed at all, will just keep what I have. Perfect bogan taxi for a guy like me...

Yeah, its probably why that dealership has 3 or 4 of them sitting there and quite a few of the r8, ss variants. Big time dreamers.

Sounds like Commos here in Canberra. Showroom full of HSV and SS.
