Composites tech/welder fabricator CAD draftsman looking for a job

    HI guys,

I've been on here a while, but just moved back from UK and looking for work.

In UK I built hot rod chassis and Clubby type cars, chassis, suspension and bodywork, and a few other things with wheels. Also proficient in Autocad 2d and 3d, Solidworks and Inventor.

I can do composite patterns, moulds, and mouldings. Carbon, glass, kevlar, and others, with epoxy, phenolics, polyester and vinylester resins. Wet layup, vacuum, autoclaves designed and built, and RTM(resin infuson)

So, I can do the whole job from design to drive it away, and have done for near 30 years. Cars, boats and planes.

I've been let down by a couple of people on another sportscar forum, who promised me the world before I left UK, and now choose to ignore texts and phone.

Any help for a multi skilled old man would be greatly appreciated. I'm running out of money fast!

    Thanks Guys,
    Rod O

I noticed these guys are advertising. They make radiator/intercoolers for everything including Fomula 1. Doesnít fit your skill set but there may be something. Location is halfway to the Gold Coast.

FYI, PWR don't have the best reputation for how they treat their employees.
Don't worry, thats just the self-preservation instinct, in my experience you can safely ignore it.

Give Lightning Composites a call. They're Gold coast, but that sort of stuff is their thing
"Where can we get hold of a Vincent Black Shadow?" "Whats that?" "A fantastic bike," I said. "The new model is something like two thousand cubic inches, developing two hundred brake-horsepower at four thousand revolutions per minute on a magnesium frame with two styrofoam seats and a total curb weight of exactly two hundred pounds."

I have a mate that works there and has for many years and speaks highly of them. He has taken me there and I got a good old wander around and chat to his bosses and from what I have seen I would say they are no different to an engineering firm I worked for. If ur efficient, turn up everyday, work hard and put the effort in you get treated like family. If u are a slack Kent who canít be bothered to show up every day and work efficiently and demonstrate u want to be there u get no special treatment and more often than not moved on quick smart. I have no problem with that. That company I worked for like that had one of the best working environments as far as I was concerned.
