Good trick is but a ear plug on the wire between wire roll and drive roller thing so that the MIG wire gets cleaned as you use it.

    Good to know!

I'll try the earplug trick as well,
biggest complaint I've had with MIG in the past is feed rollers.

The dual feed rollers help on these.
Earlier models had stepped voltage control and single roller drive system still an excellent welder though.

Still gotta keep the lead straight though.

The ear plug also puts a little bit of tension on the feed which helps keeps the wire feed a little more consistent/smoother at the business end as it takes the backlash out of the roller system also.

180C here as well, is a good thing.
That earplug trick is good idea, will do that.
Ive even had some success MIG welding alloy with it... without the spool gun too.
