    Tyres

Wondering, what's current hotness in track tyres that have to be street legal (as per rules).

As anyone tried Hankook RS4'a yet ?

    Haven't tried the RS4,

currently am still in the yokohama A050 fan boi club, but the hankook would probably be my second choice, but the proper Z221 semi. The RS3 (and now 4) is more of a high performance street tyre in line with AD08 Yokie.

It depends what the supp regs regard as a "street tyre". Usually the rules are tread wear dependant i.e. over 140 or 200.

Bridgestone RE-71R still the best here. (Can be ordered through Bridgestone dealers now too) Yokohama A052 is close though but expensive.

For sub 100 tw, soft A050 is still king. (and street legal)

If the NSW Time Attack in on at Wakefield again this year I'll try some RS4 then. Not as quick as AD08R or RE-71R but half the price.

they dont give a shit about treadwear in the supersprints, only that the tyre is "street legal" which is why i am running 50 treadwear V70As...

Why not go straight to the Hankook Ventus Z214? Do you drive to the track?

Yoko A050 are very good too.

Have you considered Nankang AR-1s? Have a look at the review thread in tyres and suspension on here.
