Timing chain makes them sound like a tractor when guides are worn out.

    Had any offers yet?
an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

Just time wasters, not from PF.

Will be sad as I've had it for over a decade... but it needs to go.

google gives a rather wide range of weights for these highest being 1195kg, makes it ls1 legal and 3.5L for turbo charged under Ncop

Would be well worth finding out what they have them listed at on the RMS/QT/VicRoads

From memory, my Scorpion which was exactly the same came in at 1140kg... 1195kg might possible be the Auto, because they also came with Power Steering.

NSW use's the heaviest option when calculating the weight for conversions.

google says a ls1 is 5665cc Ncop says a multiplier of 5 for a car over 1100kg, so your 1140kg gives 5700cc for a NA engine, turbo is a multiplier of 3 so it drops to 3.4L

Rather bloody close, for a LS1 hence finding out weight they have and what it will be calculated on, comfortable for a 2jz.

a solid bullet proof donk IMO.

FWIW, I'd keep it on historic. for 1200 why bother selling?
.... because every driver experiences the destructive potential of the effortless surge of power available through the smallest of body movements.

    That's what I'd do too.

Tried to talk workmate into getting it & put 60 day rego scheme....getting it to Sydney on the cheap is main issue.

Tripper the car is never going to steer like a Porsche so why bother? The 4g54 can get high 12ís like as per the link I posted and turbo a bloke ran a 9 once. I think leave the engine but thatís me.

What kinda coin needs to be thrown at the 4g54 (and drivetrain) to run decent numbers reliably ?

Money is at the same time a concern and not a concern in performance cars.

$500 might be too lowball, the original set price was about what I'd expect a lowball offer to be. Though PM me your details

A guy in brisbane has put the normal Sigma "2.6" badge on it, only he has "2.6 x 2".. He was running a Hemi so I would assume maybe the 5.7 hemi? No idea, hemi's usually have wierd numbers.

Also, no idea how it got registered, perhaps being an auto with aircon etc. it might have been heavier

More than likely it was a 318ci small block Chrysler, i.e. 5.2L. Technically not a hemi though, having said that neither were the 265s.

Good luck with the sale, it's too cheap! If I didn't already have my full complement of old shitboxes I'd be buying it.

$200 is too low, it's worth more than that in scrap alone.

Cool Scorpion! Very much a timewarp! Barely see any of these on the road anymore. Should be able to get your 2K even if a sale isn't immediate, which is usually the case with non-daily drivers.

Currently contemplating how much my sigma could be worth... 🤔

Will take less than $1200 if someone offers something reasonable.

Car needs a clean so I can knock a bit off for that.

Or I can take the nardi off to make it cheaper.

Thanks for the offer but after my previous post I received a phone call about a job, my 2 week holiday to Thailand early next month may turn into more of a long term visit so cannot commit to buying anything at the moment... even then it would have been an impulse buy and it would just sit rotting in my stepfathers backyard until I sort out somewhere to store it here at Valla Beach.
