    WTB: 2JZ conrod

I spun a big end bearing on my 2JZ and need to replace the conrod. Before I fork out $250 for an OEM replacement I thought I'd check if anyone here has a good one lying around.

Willing to take a whole set if required (and the price is right). Can be from any 2JZ, turbo or NA, VVTi or not, they're all the same.

Dude, buy a set of Spool rods. They're like $700 and Toyota engineering notwithstanding are far better than OE and come fitted with ARP bolts & don't need resizing etc. From memory they just need the small end lightly finished.

With a new rod and prepping all the others you'll be near that territory anyway.

$625 for spool rods currently on sale. Or drag pro spec $760 currently on sale.

I'd not normally recommend China parts but spool are so widely proven as the budget go-to.

A crack rod is a powder metal rod where the cap is cracked off so the mating surface is unique. Crack rods can't be resized back to original diameter as that process involves grinding the cap so the hole becomes out of round and then honing to make the hole round again and at it's original size. You can't do this with crack rods as there is no mechanism to stop the cap walking after you grind the mating surfaces flat but a normal style rod usually has dowel pins or bolts with a precise fit in the cap. So if your rod has flat mating surfaces you can get it resized. You can however buy oversized bearings and machine the rod out for crack rods.

I would check the bolts on the rods and see if they are stock replacement bolts if so check if they are ARP if not fuck them off.
