    making an efi manifold.

so, my basic plan is to use a stock manifold and modify it to take a plenum and throttle body.

i guess the main quiestion is, will this work?

manifold is alloy, there are 2 flanges where a pair of su's bolt on. my idea is to use another cars plenum and cut the runners off, add a plate and studs and then bolt it to the carb flanges or weld it. then put a throttle body on the end.

is this gonna have distribution issues or not?

It should work, but it will probably be just as hard as building a manifold from scratch.

Use an XF falcon manifold as the basis - the runners are removable from memory.

I built one for my datsun exactly the same way you're doing this one. Runners 2 and 5 will run lean, due to differences in airflow distribution. Not *that* big a difference, but a little. You'll see it on the plugs.

I used Mitsubishi 4G92 throttle bodies for mine, ran the dual 50mm throttles. Ran REALLY hard for what it was, and I just shortened and reworked the existing SU's linkage to make it work.

Is this a filthy triumph manifold? If so using a PI manifold seems like a no brainer.

Ah, didn't read the question properly, assumed you were going to cut it at the flange and weld on fresh runners.

Was gonna say, that looks awful like two of my CRF250R throttle bodies stuck together.

That fucking fuel hose assembly is $50 from Honda though...

only downside is the $500+ asking price for something that needs modification, and theyre rare as. otherwise id happily do that.

Can you get triple DCOE manifolds for these cheap? GTR throttle bodies are basically just throttle plates with 45mm butterflys and an almost identical [like, im talking 1mm off] center to center as a DCOE
