    Firstly, car looks amazing.

    Reducing lag. Fit std cast exhaust manifolds and use 2.25" piping with no mufflers tot he turbos. The turbine is driven by heat and velocity, extractors, big diameter pipe and mufflers are designed to reduce all those things.

    I can't see the charge pipe size but make it small, 2" max.

    Thanks for the tips Al. Pretty close to what he’s trying. He had some 3” sections in the exhaust which are getting reduced but still twin 2.5”. No mufflers is a good idea but it’s already quite loud- maybe needs to bite the bullet and just remove them. The intake is a custom billet job with a huge volume leading up to the throttle body. It needs to stay for aesthetics but I suggested reducing the volume a lot by fabbing up internal charge pipes.

    I just want him to finish it!

    Here is the intake. I'm 100% behind the build and design and it looked dumb with smaller pipes so I suggested trialling a ghetto setup with twin 2" pipes to see how it performs then do some fab magic to hide them inside this intake setup so it looks big but works. Unfortunately his motivation is low after almost 15 years in the build. Need to get him back on it

    Ah, I reckon twin rear mounts are fatally flawed. Twice as many pipes taking volume from front to rear, temperature lost on the rearward journey due to a much larger external surface area of two pipes Vs. one and then too much volume to be manipulated on the forward pass.

    I believe the whole concept behind Rear Mount was to reduce hassle and cost, by going to 2 turbos you've just doubled the hassle and cost of doing the cheap and easy installation.

    I spent 5 years building my twin turbo 928, it would have been soooo much easier to have gone rear mount or single front mount, but no, my classic learning had been that a pair of smaller turbos mounted as close to the pistons as possible would give the best response. It wasn't easy, but if it was, everyone would do it.

    There is a good reason manufacturers have gone to the "hot V" concept.
