It will sorta, we occasionally get customers who decide they need smoked windows, this we will do but it voids their warranty as the tint fucks with the polycarb spall on our glass.

Can't do it on a track car anyway. It will fail a scutineering inspection. No tinting allowed by CAMS rules

crap!
Schedule "A" sec 10 reads ok , as long as it meets AS2080 specifications...

Sorry but the paint schemes look shit house. Leave it very simple, the car has some nice lines - adding more curves and contrast with a paint scheme as per your examples will undermine the cars functionality...

IMHO of course...

I was under the impression plastic windows can be dyed post fabrication, i think it is done with a lot of motorcycle screens.

yup you can dye polycarbonate, you'd want to make sure the the surface was absolutely spotless and blemish free though

Schedule "A" sec10
"Each automobile [ except a superkart] shall of necessity in any competition--
have any window or windscreen fitted made from a material which is clear or,if tinted , compliant with AS2080."

Which also infers that the % tint must also be legal.

Windscreen as per factory.[laminated & AS spec engraving visible]. tint at the top 200mm[?] but can have a demister circuit fitted.

Car is fine.. i replaced the front bar due to it being fairly stone chipped and lots of scratches in the paint work. Got another one in better nick and same colour for f#all..

Going insane working out a tyre combo.

I dont want to run the traditional sports sedan tyre, more of a european structure.

Dilemma i have is the car is going to run 17s, Michelin make the best front tyre you can get in a ~230/610, dunlop have a similar tyre that isnt as good but its $80 a tyre more expensive

Then for the rear i want to run a ~260 wide wheel in a 17, michelin have nothing to offer and dunlop make an average wheel that about the same price as a michelin front.

Really not sure what to do if i go a multi brand set up on the car or just cop it and run the dunlops all round to keep the tyre man happy.

Michelin fronts are on the right, Dunlop fronts second from the right. Rest are assorted tyres i have been playing with.

carcrazy, i bought a bumper it was $170 new. thanks for the offer anyway

I should probably hop into a time machine and tell you a while ago that when designing a car from scratch, you don't start at the engine or the chassis or whatever, you start with the tyres.
Unless you can get the right diameter (to within a couple of mm) and width, the car will not work as well as it should or can. I'm pretty sure this is the battle I'm having with mine at the moment. Done a heap of work to it, it's no faster.

Yes bill, im just being overly fussy the car was built for these sizes which are fairly universal, to bad michelin are obsessed in 18" wheels. Arguably the fastest 2 litre sports sedan runs on that size dunlops but if i can get a free advantage through tyres im more then happy to take it, saves me money on engine development and so forth. There are a few other tyre manufacturers but the track side support is non existent.
