I'll be there on the 22nd too trying out the softer setup.

Might do the 10th as well if I can. There is something else I want to try with the rear end, but didn't want to make too many changes at one time.

Just got back from pit moleing at Lakeside, what a crashing day. Young bloke wrecked his BMW coming onto the straight, a MG broke its rear suspension for no apparent reason other than its British, Skyline pranged on the Karoussel exit............ Several other offs, must have been the hot day

Big hit on the Bimmer. How's he hit that side? I assume he's spun and gone in backwards.

What happened with the Skyline?

I saw the MG and the BMW.

It was bloody hot and I didn't really get anywhere near my best time.

There was also way to many cars running. I dropped out of track attack and ran in the normal groups as I assumed it would be a smaller group. What a mistake that was. We had a 12 sec difference between slowest and fastest cars in our group.

last run of the day the skyline went off at Karrousell.
was told the front of it was stuffed.

The 3 groups of Track Attack cars were grouped into 59-65 sec, 66-72 sec and newbies, and luckily we kept those groups more or less intact.

I was told that QR took 40 entries on the day.
one group actually ran 22 cars ....

Yeh the GTR's off was a classic Karoussel exit oops thing. Usually starts with too tight an exit/too much power, left side gets in the dirt on the outside, car ends up on the inside right against the armco.

Driver was devastated of course, poor bugger, it is a Tommy Kiara model whatever that is but looked fixable.

Fixable?
Nah too rooted, The one I picked up last was hit on RHS behind door, writeoff, got it for $3500, now just about all gone, some bits still left, more than doubled the $$
The tommykaira ones rails were bent, motor hit on bottom pulley, Now its worth 'roun 4k. Jeez, would Shannons cover him??
Young fellas 180sx spat the turbo water feed line, dumped all water, gonna need some pullin apart and looky see, Not happy chappy , but thats motorsport for ya.
Im off to play at Eastern Creek this weekend

I am with you about not being on the track with him as it appeared he missed the part about only overtaking on straights and not through Hungry.

Harry, Ben and Aaron all had a pretty good go at each other.

It was pretty exciting standing just after the old Dunlop bridge and watching the three of them come through.

Looks like the rears locked. Was the car still unsettled from the slide after the kink too?

yeah, alot of the retardation was from the gears and if i got any brakes from the frantic pedal pumping that was happening it felt like rears only. I was just trying to stay left of Ben in the 32 ahead of me and right of the wall. It turned around instantly when the left rear dropped off the track there. Got very lucky!

Yeah you'd be carrying a fair clip there. Looked like the thing went around only milliseconds after righting itself from the slide off the kink.

I don't know exactly what speeds were doing but it would be over 200kph. milliseconds after the slide off the kink was when I started braking. I'm thinking it might be a bad case of knock-off on the front? almost no pedal and felt (and looks) like just rears doing anything.
